We are situated alongside the Regent’s Canal, close to Shoreditch Park and Rosemary Gardens, and a stone’s throw from the City of London, Old Street’s ‘Silicon Roundabout’, and Kings Cross ‘Tech City’. We want to reflect all of these aspects of our local environment in our pupils’ experience in school, to help them to understand their place in our city, and their relationship with the world. From the microcosm of contemplating a caterpillar’s slow progress along a branch in the school’s Mud Kitchen, to the macrocosm of understanding how the work that goes on in a City skyscraper can affect our lives locally, and also the lives of indigenous communities on the other side of the world.
