Enterprise

The Enterprise Curriculum is a bespoke programme of learning which supports the Maths curriculum, designed to extend our pupils understanding of number into real life situations.

Enterprise covers subjects such as goods and services, franchises, and supply and demand. Pupils work on class projects such as starting up a small ‘business’ that will require them to understand concept development, product design, branding, marketing and sales. The classes gain an understanding of turnover, gross and net profit, and how charities generate income.

This real-life application of mathematical principles also encourages an entrepreneurial attitude, and the children are always incredibly keen to succeed with their product, once they have nurtured it from an idea to a reality!
