Curriculum

We follow the National Curriculum in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science and many of the foundation subjects. This is richly enhanced with a number of curricular features designed to provide our children with an exciting and forward thinking understanding of the world. The older children benefit from Global Awareness Studies and the Enterprise Curriculum.

Most of the children have weekly Swimming lessons, and all of the children have weekly PE lessons. We have a member of staff responsible for Sports, who works to ensure that our pupils have to opportunity to meet other schools at sporting fixtures throughout the school year.

In Summer Term we team up with the Laburnam Boat Club to offer our older children a programme of kayaking lessons on the Regent’s Canal.

Spanish is our current Modern Foreign Language on offer, taught by a native Spanish speaker.

Music is taught by our class teachers and by visiting specialists. Throughout their time at Rosemary Works the children will have the opportunity learn Music Theory, groups musical instrument lessons on the ukelele, and we offer extra-curricular musical instrument tuition as an After School Club.
